Mark turnbow

Originally for Hardin County, TN where he set school single season records for innings pitched (82), strikeouts (131), complete games (12), wins (11), shutouts (6) and ERA (0.51).  Named District 13-AAA MVP, All-State, Gatorade All-American, Tennessee Athletic Coaches Association State Player of the Year, and was awarded a scholarship to continue playing baseball at Ole Miss before being selected in the 7th round by the Cleveland Indians in MLB’s 1997 draft. Currently one of the few Certified Rapsodo pitching instructors in the country.

  • 7th round pick of the Cleveland Indians

  • Awarded Starting Pitcher of the Year within the Indians minor league organization after posting a 2.78 ERA with 8 wins during his rookie campaign in 1997

  • Named “Best Control” of MiLB Top Prospects by USA Today 1998

  • Received MLB Spring Training invite at the age of 21 after a solid 1999 campaign that finished in Double-A Akron

  • Spring Training 2000, suffered a torn labrum and rotator cuff.  After a couple of surgeries, many months of rehabilitation, and a couple of comeback attempts he officially retired at the end of 2001

  • Has over 10 years of coaching and teaching baseball experience, Rapsodo Certified Pitching Instructor.
